I am a biologist with a strong interest in conservation biology. My research is driven by two main questions: (1) how human activities contribute to biodiversity loss and (2) which actions can be implemented to mitigate these impacts. My research is primarily focused on rare species as biodiversity surrogates, which are used to identify patterns and voids in biodiversity; this aids in the conservation of the flora and its related components. In addition, I am interested in examining the relationship between rarity patterns and ecosystem processes across different ecological and spatial scales.
